The Lessons Through A Closed Door

Today is Jumuah(Friday)! An Eid for the whole universe, especially for the Malaikah@Angles.I've  just finished my first lab for my new semester. As usual, with 3-4 persons per group,we did some experiments on Measurement practices using different instruments for instance:

  • Dial caliper
  • Height caliper
  • Vernier caliper
  • Ruler
  • Radius gauge
  • Depth gauge
  • Others
Actually, for most of the instruments  apply almost similar application and purposes.Only slightly different methodologies and  precision of the reading-closeness to the exact answer.Just put the 'things' to the desired dimensions and you will be able to get the readings. Here, the decimals and usually the way you read  the scales on the instruments might be questionable.
Dial Caliper ( Soure from Mr Google)

The experiment today was divided into parts. So, for the second half, our group used a machine called 'Profile Projector' with the same purpose-measurements but with little upgraded technology instruments. This kind of machine actually allows us to take measurement with 2-axis:X-Y axis and another one was X-Z axis(if  no mistake, I'll check later,k?) and in the same time enabled for us to find the degree of radius.

3 brothers and 1 sister in my group (guess where am I?).We were actually assigned according to the list name (attendance sheet) and had no rights(really?) to choose by own self.Well, same gender does not means that you will be okay for all time.Still, you need patience and consideration so all members will have the chances to participate fully and show their 'ability' especially to 'demonstrate' technically what you had learnt before.Easy to say, be fair and justice, for fair and square, gives equal rights to everyone of the member. If you see any passive members, try to approach them and encourage them to participate too. It is sometimes, this people feels 'neglected' or lack of confidence. As the majority or leader in the group, it is obligatory for us ensure that all potentials been maximized as well as to show us the true spirit as engineer-to-be and respect towards other (A true leader, haha!)

Closing the Door Wisely and Slowly, Dude!

Anyway, as usual I do really want to write(type?) many things here.In the next time, I shall put some pictures from my own records.Well, before I end my 50 cents' essay today, let me share you an article from  a website: langitilahi.com ,written by a young energetic writer, Afdholul Rahman bin Che Ani.He mentioned us on one Adab in Islam (Coutesy/ Good conduct ) related to closing the door.Saying that closing the door 'slowly, quietly and wisely' shows an attribute for the softness of Islam. Many youngsters today might not observed this attitude either in cafe, class ,while at home and even in the public.

As a result, people might feel uneasy, interrupted,  and their focus probably lost due to the action. So, thank you to the writer and to Allah for reminding me and correcting my misdoings.Friends, let us observe our deeds today & make sure when you reach the knob, and planning to go out, close the door slowly k?Don't disturb others! (So meant, yeah!).I believe we  all can do it...Respect others and this whole universe will respect you.See ya!

Also when open the door, hehe!Thank you!

"Don't underestimate the power of a common man!"
(Soure : a dialogue from SRK's movie)

Engineer?

An engineer is a mediator( or connector) between Sciences and man. An engineer is actually a person who apply the knowledge of  Sciences for benefits for humankind. The world of Engineering comprises of many things theoretically and technically as well as brainstorming of ideas and imagination in order to 'solve' the daily problems.

According to website, an engineer can be defined as ''a person skilled and trained in the design, construction, and use of machines and engines, or in any various branches of engineering''.( Source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/engineer). Engineering field is divided into too many branches for examples: Mechanical, Civil, Computer, Military and so on.

People might think that becoming as an engineer is an exclusive job and isolated from normal public association as to compare with other jobs like lawyer, teacher and doctor-since we meet them easily and almost daily.Interestingly, this high profile job also demands for exactness(almost perfection) and very high skill and knowledge to integrate with ideas, to be integrated with proven experiments before been brought to the public through the services or products which have been invented by the engineers.Their jobs(refer to engineers) usually in the 'Red Zone'-dangerous and need extra more cautious. For example, dealing with chemicals and hazardous elements, heavy machine which might affects their safety and health. In fact, some of them face with threat e.g from pirates or prosecutor and natural disasters and phenomena which usually happen on 'off-shore's engineers'(Oil and Gas Engineer).

''Sir, you made some mistakes on drawing .I've corrected some already, hehe"

Well, this is my 50 cents short kindergarten's essay, hehehe I do plan to finish it, but probably in the next time since I need to hurry for other jobs.I admit that my English is just in average level and is not my first language(mother tongue) and I feel  more confident in speaking rather in writing.Oh, by the way, I am an engineering student, majoring in Manufacturing. At the first stage, Engineering was not my first choice, however today becoming an engineer is my pride and priority, Insya Allah.See u in the next time, for another episode,(??).Take care n have a good time with your family at home.Da da!
