                                                             FYP ENGINEERING la.....

Oh hi everyone! :)

Assalamualaikum and a very good afternoon to all brothers and sisters!!!

As everyone could see, I had been away from blogging (again) for about 1 month. Actually, during that time,  I was struggling in finishing my Final Year Project Report. Yeah, of course the time given was more than 1 month but 1 year but only I would abled to finish all the experiments, doing analysis and then finalize the project report before to be submitted in hard copy and hard bound form (refer to the pic as above). Yet, we, the FYP students are required to produce a poster for the purpose of exhibition day . But the exhibition day only will happened after the Presentation Day. Till today, I just done my Presentation Day on yesterday, Alhamdulillah ala kulli hal!

Talking on my Presentation Day, I am still not satisfied with my performance on last day. It was one of my 'lousiest'/ the worst presentation ever in my life. Usually I managed to do well (I think la..), but probably due to lack of preparation and over confidence , I felt that it was a failure for the MOST IMPORTANT presentation for Engineering student through out my life in campus,huhu..

Don't ever talk about sleep and food, dude. My body weight has decreased (it's that a correct sentence?) , inability to sleep even after non-stop typing in  more than one day (not included pray and go to toilet and sometimes , I just to put a side my plan to get my bath in order to finish the report. Actually, my university's students  right now are 'enjoying' their holiday except we, the FYP students till the opening of new semester.( We are the XMen!)

Back to the story of FYP. I feel so happy because I had my chance to do my FYP this time and I would like to express my gratitude to Allah Subhanahuwa Taala and to many parties including my supervisor Dr. K, lecturers, all  engineers & technicians, friends and of course to my beloved parents, thanks mama and ayah! (Well, in the next time we will see the long speech aka Acknowledgement), hahaha!

Brothers and sisters,

If other final year students in other courses, might have feeling that the end of their journey is with final exams but we, the Engineering student specifically in IIUM  now are having our full 'holiday' in campus., Final Year Project is one of the most important element in our life. Yes, we have exams  and in IIUM , we, what I believed is considered as the hardest course in Gombak Campus  even though  some people believe architecture students are the most busiest due to their 'colouring' project but with smaller number of learning subjects and law (probably due to assumption of 'majestic' of the course), I am still believe Engineering is the hardest course in IIUM Gombak probably same or a 'little lower' than Medic/Pharmacy/Dentist.

Why I sudden jump to this point? Well, because..... compared with other university, IIUM may  not be so popular choice especially among female students to furthering their study in Engineering. Even many of my friends were/are from UTM, UMP, UiTM and also from overseas universities.Yet,many people,( read as IIUM students ), they forgot about a fact: Engineering is a Science stream course even it is a technical science  but somehow we collaborate with bio part in our learning especially if you take Biomedic Engineering or Biotech Engineering.

If we can recheck back on online application  to local university in Malaysia (UPU), we will see the requirement for Engineering courses usually higher than other courses but somehow lower than Medic students. That's was why in long time ago, many students with excellent result entering either Bio stream (Medic/Dentist/ Pharmacy/etc.) or Technical (Engineering). May be due to lack of understanding also, people especially from non base Science stream in campus , they could not differentiate between Technician and Engineer (Both are really important team, working in the same area but different job scope ). Furthermore, if you look into IIUM syllabus, you will surprised that we learn like a master student , (and we used to (not all) do project with the help from PHD student ) but with 'low esteem words' rather than (some) other university  for example one of local university love to use term thesis (a bombastic word ) but in IIUM we just use 'Project' to replace the humbleness of study. :)

However it is, Engineering in IIUM is not the best in the Malaysia or the world ( but probabaly among? hehe) , but we are improving our way to achieve that. I hope , all the machines (especially the broken one) should be fixed    for the betterment of Engineering study in IIUM, wohoo!

This is for Delamination test using a Handheld Microscope as below

Handheld Microscope (before assembled). Right now I am keeping it in my room like my own property ,haha before return it to my Dr. K, my supervisor. Thanks sir!

Surface Roughness test. I used the portable one due some reasons.

This one 'an object' used to detect your level of love to animal, wohaa! My little rabbit!

Ladies and gentlemen,

Lets assume all my statements above as just of my curhat (Confession) or opinion from my view upon my discussion on their thought (especially non Engineering student in my university and student in other university) related on Engineering field in IIUM. I have never intention to underestimate other courses especially non Science background or other university student. However, I would to share my feeling (probably the message is not delivered to all), on the difficulty of Engineering study in IIUM since many of us have to extend their study here -including me myself. Of course, a lot of many, time and energy as well as shame to be consumed, right?

Many of my friends had been 'expelled' read: dismissed from this university actually from Engineering rather than other course and they even have an excellent result in secondary school and were not from 'lazy' type student. These friends however, made their move either change to other Kuliyyah (course) or other university, and now the become a really great person and even has became as the leader among the group or among public (while I am still struggling with my study, please pray for me guys).

Well, I really appreciate all courses in the world, believe me, to be a Prime Minister, you do not need the knowledge as real Engineer but you must posses with History, Communication, Psychology, Politics and some basic Science and Economics to run a country. And to become an Engineer, you must to posses all knowledge in order to fulfill your duty as inter mediator between Science and people! My view might be wrong might be right according to the premise (place) . See you in the next part! Wallahu'alam.

p/s: Pray for all Children of Adam over the world>>> Palestine, Brazil, Malaysia, Africa, USA, Syria and to all. Peace!

Sebelum terlupa. Moving towards Ramadhan:

اَللّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِى شَعْبَانَ وَ بَلِّغْنَا رَمَضَان
Just a joke (but for real). Are you ready Iman for Ramadhan? !
